PR Toronto Excelling in Endurance

PR Toronto (Pronto)A gelding we bred, raised and trained, PR Toronto, is off to a fantastic start with his new owner, Jenna, in California.  We started Toronto as a sport horse but knew he could excel at distance riding. Jenna has given him an opportunity to do what he was truly meant to do. She purchased “Pronto” in December 2012 and they took First Place and Best Condition in only their second endurance ride – an impressive feat for two competitors new to the sport! You can follow their progress and watch videos of their rides on Pronto’s Facebook page!

Amy Larson Clinic a Success

PRTC hosted another Amy Larson clinic May 29 & 30. Nine horses participated with 12 different horse/rider combinations. Most of the riders are showing up a level this year & are working on new skills. There was a common theme of straightness on a bending line especially related to beginning collection, walk/canter transitions & pirouette work. Amy also focused on teaching riders to control the horse’s hind legs with the seat & keeping the vertical line in the rider’s body to eliminate leaning in the horse on bending lines. We really appreciate her eye for detail. She always leaves us with much homework. We are looking for Amy to return for another clinic mid-July. There might be room for another rider or two. Contact us for more information. Auditors are always welcome at no charge. Come join us!
