There are three mentions for us in the April issue of USDF Connections magazine — along with overviews of two exceptional events we attended: the FEI Trainers Conference with Steffen Peters and Scott Hassler and the Young Rider Graduate Program.

Mimi Named Top Dressage Rider by Arabian Magazine

World-TotallyTops2014Mimi made Arabian Horse World magazine’s “Totally Tops” list of Leading Riders and Handlers in the nation for dressage. The rankings are based on number of wins per trainer at national competitions. We’re especially pleased the World is recognizing riders in dressage!

Cygnus Named Upper Level Dressage Horse of the Year

ASHM-readers-choiceWe are honored that Mimi’s Grand Prix gelding, EA Cygnus, was voted Upper Level Dressage Horse of the Year by readers of Arabian Sport Horse Magazine! This is a lovely tribute to his memory and we are so grateful for all the support. Check out the Feb/Mar edition to read about Cygnus, the deserving nominees and winners in other categories.

Quarter Horse Dressage News

There is a special pride in reporting on our client’s successes! Bobbi Bingeman and her AQHA mare, Sparkin Hot Jacke (“Paq”), had an outstanding year in 2013, earning an AQHA Superior Event Horse Award in dressage, a #2 ranking nationally at First Level (Open Division – Bobbi riding) and a #1 ranking nationally at Second Level (Open Division – Mimi riding). Bobbi and Paq also earned their first USDF medal; with a median score of 66.16 at First Level, they are the Adequan/USDF All-Breeds 2013 Reserve Champions! We hope their accomplishments will encourage other stock breed owners to give dressage (classical or Western) a try. They are fantastic ambassadors for both the sport and PRTC, and proof that dressage has benefits for ALL horses.

News about Bobbi and Paq:

Watch for Mimi’s blog updates from the warmer climates of Wellington and San Diego!

Mimi Receives USDF Grant

Press-release-JackFritzgrant

Mimi Stanley is a recipient of the 2014 Captain Jack Fritz Young Professional Grant! This will be applied toward her attendance at the USDF Young Rider Graduate Program on January 18-19. While it has long been an aspiration of PRTC to help Mimi advance to international competition, the Young Rider Graduate Program is one of several purposeful steps we are taking this year toward that goal. Contact us to find out how you can join our sponsorship team and help make that goal a reality.
