And now to the jog. All the horses were trotted on the pavement for the vet’s final scrutiny. The barns were open for personal visits with the horses. All X-rays were available ahead of time & the vets are on hand to answer questions. It gives a person the assurance that you know just what these horses are & the confidence to buy at the Westphalian Auction.

It was shopping day for us at the Westphalian Auction in Handorf, Germany. What flavor do you like? They had them all – a candy store of sport horses. Come see them go and pick the ones you want to ride! Mimi rode some lovely mares Westphalen mares today.

We are excited to announce that we will be touring the heart of the German Warmblood world 6/3 – 6/9! We will attend the Westphalian Breeder’s Association Summer auction in Handorf as a guest of Rhegan White (Director of Sales for Westphalian breeders), tour the Westphalian State Stud, meet premiere German breeders, dine with Mimi’s coach Conrad Schumacher and tour his facility near Frankfurt.

Mimi will ride a number of sales horses for prospective buyers prior to the auction. This is Mimi’s second visit to Germany, following her Olympic Dream Team Trip in 2010, but it is a first for Karla! Stay tuned for more updates from Deutschland!
